GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. This position requires collaboration, leadership, and influence among peers. The Lead Cashier supports the leadership team with register functions, associate exit inspections, and cashier chat ins/outs. The role emphasizes delivering an exceptional guest experience, promoting loyalty, and achieving sales and performance goals.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Meet or exceed store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrinkage.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, personalizing their experience, and recommending products and services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Coordinate makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
• Support appointment bookings and in-store events to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Maintain the replenishment and organization of cashwrap displays and supplies.
• Ensure prompt attendance and punctuality.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Assist with cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and create excitement around credit and loyalty goals.
• Train new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering.
• Lead peers to achieve productivity and performance goals.
• Ensure personalized brand experience and system compliance.
• Participate in ongoing training for professional development.
• Collaborate to grow the business.

Process

• Follow company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to dress code requirements.
• Complete transactions accurately, including returns and media control.
• Perform register opening and closing functions as directed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and standards throughout the store.
• Protect assets and minimize loss through adherence to procedures.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Passion for guest service and sales.
• Experience in addressing guest concerns professionally.
• Record of exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
