GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. This position drives loyalty results, including credit, through performance, people, and process focus. The Lead Cashier supports the leadership team with register functions, associate exit inspections, and cashier chat ins/outs, requiring a passion for guest experience, process excellence, and delivering results by engaging guests on our Loyalty Life Cycle and contributing to store goals.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Meet or exceed store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products/services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Support guest service through makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments and support in-store events to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Maintain replenishment and organization of cashwrap displays and supplies.
• Maintain prompt attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Assist leadership with cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and create excitement around credit and loyalty goals.
• Train new cashiers and cross-train associates.
• Engage and influence peers to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure personalized brand experience and system prompt adherence.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Complete transactions accurately and control cash/media at the cashwrap.
• Perform register opening/closing as directed.
• Maintain store standards and cleanliness.
• Protect assets and minimize loss.
• Execute other operational tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2 years relevant experience or equivalent preferred.
