General Summary & Scope

The Lead Cashier (LC) ensures the efficiency of guest transactions and maintains high standards at the cashwrap, including cleanliness and aesthetics. They assist in training new cashiers, cross-training associates, and driving loyalty results through performance, people, and process focus. The LC supports store operations during opening and closing, and contributes to achieving sales and guest experience goals.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meet or exceed store goals related to sales, loyalty, and shrinkage.
• Provide exceptional guest service, engaging and personalizing interactions.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Support service appointments and in-store events to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures.
• Ensure regular attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment and assist in training and cross-training staff.
• Engage peers to achieve productivity and performance goals.
• Drive accountability in guest service and loyalty program benefits.
• Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with team members.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Adhere to dress code and operational procedures.
• Complete transactions accurately and securely.

• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 2 years relevant experience or equivalent; proven sales and training ability.

Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and in teams.

Position Requirements: Must be 18 or older; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions
