Job Purpose
Provide oversight of case management, outreach and intake and shelter monitor staff at Jolenes House and provide comprehensive case management to clients and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with the goal of increasing their quality of life and maintaining the highest possible ability to function within the community.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with Case Managers to staff caseloads and keep abreast of current issues; keep the team informed of program information; provide quality assurance and regulatory compliance to client files; and prepare and submit monthly program reports and other reports as requested by Program Directors.
- Manage office and staff coordination, client flow, client complaints, and crisis management.
- Ensure all incident reports are documented in a timely manner and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and direction on safety and security practices.
- Provide guidance and direction of food services protocols.
- Maintain inventory of shelter facility supplies, food pantry items and donations.
- Advocate for and facilitate clients’ access to community resources—including housing assistance, utility assistance, and other relevant community services and benefits; build a database of community resources and provide referrals as needed.
- Provide proactive follow-up to ensure stability and progress toward self‑sufficiency, including support, advocacy, reducing isolation, listening, problem‑solving, and identification of resources to assist participants in reintegration into the community.
- Develop a housing procurement, financial, and self‑sufficiency case management plan with clients, including an intake interview to determine needs, goals, and eligibility; assist participants in developing a strength‑based, solution‑focused housing plan and action plan to promote permanent housing and self‑sufficiency and build an effective referral network for ongoing support.
- Develop and manage comprehensive outreach and working relationships with stakeholders, including realtors, landlords, property owners, and property managers; design, implement, and evaluate an annual landlord/property recruitment and retention plan; network with area Housing Resources and maintain presence at all meetings; stay aware of market and community process changes and provide recommendations for anticipated changes.
- Apply knowledge of residential lease agreements to educate clients on tenant rights and responsibilities; assess housing barriers; provide mediation and advocacy with landlords; assist participants in locating and securing preferred housing; establish and maintain communication channels with landlords, referral sources, collaborating agencies, debtors, and creditors; serve as liaison between property managers, participants, and neighbors.
- Be active in and network at monthly community groups and events; provide presentations at community groups in assigned rural and metropolitan areas; promote the success and reputation of the Endeavors programs; provide information and referral assistance regarding support from appropriate social service agencies and community programs.
- Document daily case notes and maintain comprehensive client files; coordinate with the Financial Assistance Coordinator for third‑party payments; keep clients informed of actions and payments; review all payments monthly to ensure appropriateness and relevance to service plans.

Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of case management experience (3+ years preferred); 2+ years in a customer‑service focused environment; experience with homeless, low‑income, veteran & their families is a strong plus.
- Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined at the employer’s sole discretion.
- Licenses: LMSW, LBSW, LMFT preferred.
- Driver’s License: Must have a clear record.
- Vehicle: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice; travel within assigned geographic areas.
- Other: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations as required by business needs; must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of harm to the safety or health of self or others.
