Job summary

Beaverton School District 48J is seeking a Maintenance Worker 3 – Carpenter to lead carpentry work across district facilities. You will coordinate material procurement, supervise junior staff, and perform expert carpentry and maintenance tasks to keep buildings safe and functional for students and staff.

The role requires several years of journey-level carpentry experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid regional driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; carpentry apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years journey-level carpentry in commercial/institutional settings.
• Valid Oregon/WA driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead carpentry projects, supervise junior staff and coordinate material procurement.
• Perform structural maintenance, framing, cabinetry and finish carpentry tasks.
• Inspect and repair doors, drywall, roofing and flooring as needed.
• Oversee safety and adhere to building codes and district standards.
