Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on residential carpentry experience with strong framing and finish skills.
• 2+ years in direct jobsite leadership, supervisory, or site lead role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, framing plans, and design drawings.
• Knowledge of residential remodeling trades, building codes, and construction sequencing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to Chicago-area sites.
• Able to lift 75 lbs and perform extended physical labor in varying site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise rough and finish carpentry including framing, trim work, and cabinetry preparation.
• Supervise daily jobsite operations to uphold craftsmanship, safety, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, and field staff for efficient project sequencing.
• Interpret blueprints and finish schedules to guide field execution.
• Maintain daily logs, notes, and progress photos to keep leadership informed.
• Identify field conflicts early and implement resolutions to protect schedules.
• Mentor apprentices and junior carpenters on craftsmanship, safety, and company culture.
