Job summary

Cajun Industries, LLC is seeking a Carpenter Leadman to supervise and coordinate Carpenter workers on plant operations or construction sites. The role ensures safety, quality, and timely completion of work while supporting the Foreman and crew with hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities include directing a small team, interpreting blueprints, building forms, and coordinating with trades. Strong focus on safety and accurate reporting is required.

Qualifications

• Leadership of small crew and assist Foreman in managing tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and hazard awareness.
• Strong communication and instruction delivery to team members.
• Advanced carpentry: forms, tying rebar, scaffolding, and layout.
• Able to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Act as working leader and assist Foreman in managing the crew.
• Lead a small group of workers within the crew.
• Perform hands-on responsibilities while guiding the crew.
• Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards are met.
• Assist workers and resolve problems on site.
• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Read blueprints/sketches and complete reports.
• Build and set forms, use level instrument, tie rebar, build scaffold, finish carpentry work, read tape/ruler, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate tools.
• Assist other craft workers as needed.
• Communicate directions clearly to supporting teams.
• Fill in for the foreman when needed.
• Report directly to the Foreman.
