Job summary

Cajun Industries, LLC is seeking a Carpenter Leadman to assist the Foreman in supervising the crew on construction sites in Texas. You will manage activities, ensure safety, and coordinate resources to meet timelines. The role requires strong carpentry skills and capability to interpret drawings and forms.

You will lead hands-on tasks, inspect quality, and enforce safety regulations while coordinating between crews and foremen to keep operations on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a crew on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/sketches.
• Commitment to safety standards and practical problem solving.
• Familiarity with forming, rebar, and carpentry tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Act as a working leader and assist the Foreman in managing the crew
• Lead a small group of workers within the crew or handle specific tasks assigned by the Foreman
• Perform hands-on responsibilities while working alongside the crew and providing guidance
• Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met
• Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems
• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations
• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches, and complete reports
• Build and set forms, use level instrument, tie rebar, build scaffold, finish carpentry work, read tape/ruler, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate various hand and power tools
• Assist other craft workers as needed
• Clearly communicate directions to the supporting teams
• Possess some decision-making authority to fill in for the foreman at times
• Report directly to the Foreman
