Job summary

Morrison Building & Remodeling is seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to lead residential remodeling projects from start to finish. You will manage daily jobsite operations, collaborate with homeowners, and mentor subcontractors to uphold Morrison’s high standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5-8 years of experience, expert carpentry, and strong leadership. This full-time role offers weekday hours, overtime opportunities, and a pathway to growth within a respected Massachusetts remodeling firm.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of residential remodeling carpentry experience.
• Expert-level rough and finish carpentry skills and the confidence to work independently.
• Experience leading a jobsite, crew, or subcontractors preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions in the field.
• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Massachusetts CSL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily jobsite activities and coordinate subcontractors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite; protect client property and maintain professionalism in occupied homes.
• Communicate project updates, challenges, and needs with the Production Manager.
• Coordinate materials, deliveries, and jobsite needs; participate in pre-construction meetings and final walkthroughs.
