Job summary

New Kappa City Construction Inc. in Millis, MA is hiring a Lead Carpenter to own field work, lead crews, and deliver high-quality commercial door and window installations on government and commercial projects across Massachusetts.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of carpentry, proven leadership, and OSHA 10 certification. Training on specialized systems is offered for strong core carpentry skills. Expect competitive hourly pay and project-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional carpentry or related commercial installation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience installing commercial or exterior doors and/or windows.
• Previous experience leading crews, supervising field work, mentoring other Carpenters, or taking ownership of job-site execution.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand layout, plumb, level, square, fastening, and installation sequencing.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field activities on commercial and government construction projects.
• Direct and coordinate small carpentry crews.
• Install and replace commercial and exterior doors and windows and related hardware.
• Complete demolition, preparation, installation, sealing, caulking, and finish work.
• Evaluate field conditions and adjust installations when openings are not as per plans.
• Train and mentor Carpenters and less-experienced workers.
• Inspect completed work and correct deficiencies before punch-list.
• Communicate site issues with project leadership.
