We're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who can combine exceptional craftsmanship with jobsite leadership. This role is for someone who can take ownership of the work, help keep a project moving, and set the standard for quality across the crew.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Carpenter, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other craftsmen to execute high-quality residential construction projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead daily carpentry activities and help organize the work of the crew
- Perform framing, finish carpentry, and general residential construction
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documents
- Identify potential issues and develop practical solutions before they become costly problems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep work on schedule
- Help plan materials, tools, and daily jobsite needs
- Train, mentor, and support less experienced carpenters
- Communicate clearly with team members, leadership, and clients when appropriate
- Hold yourself and others accountable for quality workmanship
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of residential carpentry experience, including at least 5 years in the luxury custom market
- Strong knowledge of framing and finish carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Demonstrated ability to lead or guide other carpenters
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, team-first attitude with a humble and teachable approach
- Willingness to take ownership and correct mistakes as they arise
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading crews on custom homes or high-end residential renovations
- Experience coordinating daily production with a Project Manager or Superintendent
- Ability to anticipate jobsite needs and keep work moving efficiently

Hands-On Hiring Process
Final candidates will complete a practical skills assessment, which may include working alongside one of our crews or completing a carpentry project to specified measurements while being observed by our leadership team.
