Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with expertise in various carpentry techniques and a proven ability to lead projects effectively. This role requires hands-on experience with assembling and installing structures, as well as proficiency in using both hand and power tools. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for overseeing carpentry work on construction sites, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Supervise and coordinate carpentry activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Review blueprints and plans to determine the scope of work and material requirements.

Carpentry Skills

• Perform high-quality carpentry work, including framing, drywall installation, cabinetry, trim work, and finishing.
• Install and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.

Problem-Solving

• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
• Suggest improvements to processes and techniques to enhance overall productivity and quality.

Safety Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure the work environment is safe for all team members.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote awareness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years in residential construction.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
