Job summary

Front Porch Of Bowdon is seeking a Lead Caregiver for the Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM shift in Bowdon, GA. The role includes managing a resident assignment and providing hands-on care, plus taking on leadership tasks such as training and charting oversight.

The position offers a stable full-time schedule with on-call weekend duties and competitive pay of $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on caregiving experience in assisted living or a comparable setting.
• Willingness to take on weekend on-call rotation.
• Dependable attendance on a set schedule that includes Saturdays.
• Willingness to provide hands-on personal care, including toileting and incontinence care.
• Ability to read a care plan and document care clearly in writing.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• CPR and Proxy Caregiver training within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Carry your own resident assignment and provide hands-on care.
• Make hall assignments at the start of the shift and ensure breaks are covered.
• Be the first point of contact on shift and escalate as needed.
• Train and orient new caregivers and uphold standards.
• Ensure charting is complete and handoffs occur before anyone leaves.
• Pass medications for your own residents under Proxy Caregiver rules and manage MAR.
• Hold the on-call phone on a weekend rotation and coordinate coverage when someone calls out.
• Observe residents for changes and report them to the appropriate person.
• Answer call lights promptly and resolve or escalate as needed.
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and hazard-free.
• Support residents living with dementia and follow care plans.
