Job summary

Front Porch of Bowdon in Bowdon, GA is hiring a dedicated Caregiver (Days) to provide direct, hands-on personal care to residents on a set first or second shift. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, and documentation, with a close-knit team and a focus on resident comfort.

We value dependable attendance, compassion, and the ability to work with residents who may have dementia. This full-time role offers stable shifts, on-site management, and opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance on a set schedule that includes weekend days.
• Willingness to provide hands-on personal care, including bathing and incontinence care.
• Ability to stay calm and respectful with residents who are confused, agitated, or resistant.
• Ability to stand and walk for the length of a shift and to assist with resident transfers and repositioning.
• Ability to read a care plan and to document care clearly in writing.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• CPR and Proxy Caregiver training within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and incontinence care
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility, using proper technique and equipment
• Serve meals and snacks and provide feeding assistance to residents who need it
• Answer resident call lights promptly and either resolve the need or escalated it
• Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, skin integrity, and appetite, and report those changes to the appropriate person
• Document the care you provide and what you observe, according to facility standards
• Complete a written shift handoff so the incoming shift starts informed
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and free of hazards
• Support residents living with dementia, including those who are confused, repetitive, or resistant to care
• Follow resident care plans, facility policy, and applicable state regulations
