Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Lead Caregiver to provide compassionate, personalized care for residents in our community. You will lead a care team, ensure 1440 care standards are met, assist with bathing, dining, mobility and medication reminders, and maintain thorough documentation.

Weekend or on-call availability may be required as determined by the Wellness Coordinator. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/MA with 2 years experience or CPR/First Aid certification,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous health care or geriatric experience preferred.
• CNA or MA with 2 years of related experience or training.
• CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/visual instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and overall accountability for your team and their performance.
• Timely & Accountable Attendance: Upholding to work schedule, being ready to start work on time, remaining on the job for the whole duration of shift, and limited use of time off.
• 1440 Care for residents: Understanding and leading our 1440 care standards so you and your team ensure that each resident and each family has their needs met.
• Responsible communication with families: communicating messages tactfully and timely with resident’s families and ensuring the message has been received and correctly understood.
• Communicate resident changes immediately; providing timely and detailed information to your Wellness Leader regarding any changes to a resident’s needs or care.
• Leads and provides 1440 care.
• Will provide compassionate and competent care for residents by performing the following services: Bathing, showering and grooming assistance; Serve and collect food trays; assist residents with dining; Wheelchair and walking escorts; Toileting and incontinence care assistance; Meal, activity, and medication reminder assistance; Wake up and turn down service; Upkeep of resident rooms; Answers resident call signals; Medication assistance/medication administration.
• Maintains appropriate and complete documentation per company policies.
• Available to work weekends and/or on call as necessary as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator.
• Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
