Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching the caregiving team. You will lead shift assignments, monitor attendance, provide hands-on ADL support, and mentor new staff in quality, hospitality and documentation.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications, with strong communication, delegation and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
