Job summary

Dovida – Jacksonville is seeking a Lead Caregiver to join our compassionate team. You will provide hands-on client care and mentor fellow caregivers while upholding high professional standards.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, documentation, and coordinating with the team to ensure continuity of care. Valid driver’s license and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass Level 2 background check.
• CPR certified.
• Must pass drug testing.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous HHA, CNA, personal care, direct care, or home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and homemaking based on each client’s care plan.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.

• Maintain accurate care documentation and timekeeping.

Dovida – Jacksonville is seeking a skilled, reliable, and compassionate Lead Caregiver to join our team. This opportunity is suited for an experienced caregiver who is ready to take on added responsibilities while continuing to deliver excellent, person-centered care to our clients.

In this role, you’ll provide hands‑on assistance to clients while serving as a supportive resource for fellow caregivers. You’ll help reinforce professional standards, encourage teamwork, and promote consistent, high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Client Care

• Deliver personal care and homemaking assistance based on each client’s individualized care plan.

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living.

• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.

• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.

• Respect each client’s dignity, privacy, choices, and independence.

• Maintain accurate care documentation and complete timekeeping requirements properly.

Lead Caregiver Support

• Guide newer caregivers in understanding client routines, care expectations, and workplace standards.

• Encourage appropriate communication, reliable attendance, and accurate documentation and timekeeping.

• Recognize recurring caregiver challenges and bring relevant concerns to leadership.

• Provide administrative assistance when needed.

New Client & Staffing Support

• Help coordinate new client starts and caregiver transitions as requested.

• Assist caregivers in becoming familiar with client preferences, daily routines, and safety requirements.

• Support coverage for open shifts, caregiver call-offs, and emergencies when available.

• Help ensure continuity of care when staffing assignments change.

• Communicate client concerns, caregiver issues, and scheduling needs to the appropriate Dovida team member.
