Dovida – Jacksonville is seeking a Live-In Caregiver to support a client with daily living needs in the comfort of their home. The role emphasizes compassion, independence, and clear communication with the care team and family.

Dovida – Jacksonville is seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to support a client with daily living needs in the comfort of their home.

Live-In Schedule & Accommodations

This position follows a 4-days-on, 3-days-off schedule, rotating with a second Dovida caregiver. This arrangement helps maintain consistent care for the client while giving each caregiver dedicated time off.

During your scheduled live-in days, accommodations include:

• Private bedroom within the client’s home

• Shared bathroom

• Shared kitchen and common living spaces

• A comfortable living environment that supports personalized, attentive care

About the Position

As a Live-In Caregiver, you’ll provide daily assistance and companionship while helping the client maintain comfort, safety, and independence at home. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, following an individualized care plan, and communicating effectively with the care team and family.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene

• Support mobility and activities of daily living

• Prepare nutritious meals and encourage proper hydration

• Help with light housekeeping and laundry related to client care

• Provide companionship and participate in meaningful daily activities

• Offer medication reminders as directed

• Follow the client’s care plan and report changes in condition or needs

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment

• Communicate relevant updates and concerns to the care team and family members as appropriate

Please note: This position includes daytime caregiving and an overnight presence. It does not involve continuous, hands-on care throughout the night.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Caregiver, CNA, or HHA training or certification is a plus

• Current CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation are preferred or may be required

• Ability to pass background checks, work authorization verification, and required health screenings

• Ability to assist with mobility and physical care tasks using safe practices

• Previous caregiving experience preferred

• Knowledge of personal care, safe transfers, and basic caregiving practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
