Sunrise Senior Living in Cary, NC is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader and coach the caregiving team while ensuring high-quality resident care. You'll lead shift assignments, monitor attendance, support onboarding, and promote safety and compliance, all while modeling professionalism and compassionate service.

This role combines hands-on caregiving with frontline leadership and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, age 18
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications required
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
