Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver in Raleigh, NC. You will serve as the shift leader, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team.

You will lead shift assignments, provide hands-on ADL support, coach on quality and documentation, review ISP-aligned charting, monitor resident changes, and mentor new staff to ensure safety and smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands‑on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
