Job summary

Home Instead in San Francisco is hiring a full-time Care Pro Lead to support older adults in their homes across the city. This role emphasizes dependable, high-quality care and coordinating care across clients, with a focus on smooth starts and urgent coverage as needed.

You'll provide personal care, companionship, mobility assistance, and dementia/end-of-life support while guiding and supporting other caregivers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional caregiving experience, non-family, OR active CNA, HHA, LVN/LPN, or RN credential.
• Experience with personal care, transfers, dementia care, and end-of-life support.
• Calm, confident, and professional in changing or challenging care situations.
• Strong communication with clients, families, office staff, and fellow caregivers.
• Comfortable guiding other caregivers when needed.
• Comfortable using a smartphone scheduling and care documentation app.
• Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

• Full-time caregiving role with guaranteed hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed with 60 hours/week of availability
• Pay range: $24.00-$26.00/hr depending on experience; $960-$1,040/week at 40 hours before taxes
• San Francisco service area: Client homes and apartments across San Francisco and surrounding areas
• Best suited for experienced, reliable caregivers: Ideal for care professionals who are confident supporting different clients, care needs, and home environments

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional caregiving experience, non-family, OR active CNA, HHA, LVN/LPN, or RN credential
• Experience with personal care, transfers, dementia care, and end-of-life support
• Calm, confident, and professional approach in changing or challenging care situations
• Strong communication skills with clients, families, office staff, and fellow caregivers
• Comfortable supporting and guiding other caregivers when needed
• Comfortable using a smartphone app for scheduling and care documentation
• Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills

Schedule, Travel & Requirements

• Must be available for 60 hours per week to qualify for guaranteed 40 full-time hours
• Reliable transportation plan and willingness to travel up to 60 minutes to client homes
• Comfortable navigating San Francisco homes, apartments, stairs, elevators, pets, and smoking environments
• Ability to accept shifts on short notice when needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including assisting with mobility, transfers, and personal care
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and required assessments
• Must complete all required onboarding steps before starting care assignments
• $24.00-$26.00/hr, depending on experience
• $960-$1,040/week before taxes at 40 hours per week
