Job summary

Home Instead is seeking Lead Caregivers in the greater Pittsburgh area to serve as the first impression for clients and families, delivering compassionate and high-quality in-home care. The role emphasizes reliability, relationship-building, and steady full-time hours.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of caregiving experience with active CNA/HHA/LPN/RN credentials preferred, be able to travel to client homes, pass background checks, and commit to a 60-hour week for guaranteed 40 hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional caregiving experience.
• Open weekday availability and ability to rotate weekend on-call shifts.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 60 minutes to client homes.
• Must pass background check, drug screening and required assessments.
• Available for 60 hours per week to qualify for guaranteed 40 full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, professional care to older adults in their homes.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, transfers, companionship, meals, and daily routines.
• Support clients with dementia and end-of-life care needs.
• Help with new client starts and transitioning clients to ongoing caregivers.
• Review care plans and visit notes to understand clients’ needs and preferences.
• Provide hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to other caregivers.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, office staff, and caregivers.
