Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Manager On Duty for weekends (Friday–Sunday, 32 hours) to provide leadership in Assisted Living. You will assist with medications, personal care, and escort services while ensuring residents’ dignity and safety.

Under the Health and Wellness Director, you will train new staff, review care issues, and serve as a resource for residents and families. A CNA/CHHA license or state training may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in senior care.
• Lead Caregiver / MedTech experience.
• CNA or CHHA licensure or state training may be required.
• Fluent English for communication.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with medication, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service and activities of daily living as directed by state regulations.
• Coordinate and conduct training of new staff and assist all team members under the Health and Wellness Director.
• Meet regularly with Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
• Serve as staff and family resource when director is unavailable.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform Directors of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage independence and dignity of residents; maintain confidentiality.
• Support the department in care management planning.

Job Description

Manager On Duty Position (Weekend = 32 Hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Flexible)

• Provide assistance and leadership with medication (per state regulations), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Upon direction of the Health and Wellness Director, coordinate and conduct training of new staff members and assist all team members.
• Meet on a regular basis with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
• Serve as the staff and family resource when the director is unavailable or away from the building.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform the Directors of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Respect residents’ confidentiality.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education:

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lead Caregiver / MedTech experience

Years of Experience:

1+ years of experience preferred

Type of Experience:

Senior care or related field

Special Certifications:

May require a CNA or CHHA licensure or other state required training

Language Skills:

Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
