Mass General Brigham in Boston, MA is seeking an OR Lead Surgical Technologist for Cardiac and Vascular services. This onsite role focuses on expert scrub support, OR readiness, instrumentation management, mentoring staff, and interdepartmental collaboration in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The position emphasizes leadership, adherence to sterile technique, and partnership with Central Processing to optimize instrument use and case flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certification: CST (required).
• Experience: 3–5 years of Surgical Technologist experience (required).
• Cardiac/Vascular OR experience (required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Set up and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor equipment during procedures.
• Facilitate on-time OR starts and efficient room turnovers.
• Coordinate staff coverage for breaks and lunches.
• Scrub cases to support operational needs.
• Review upcoming surgical cases and ensure equipment availability.
• Collaborate with surgeons to maintain preference cards.
• Partner with Central Processing on workflow and instrument optimization.
• Train and mentor surgical technologists on equipment use.
