Job summary

Clearbrook is seeking a Lead Capital Actuary to guide regulatory and rating agency capital models and support the CRO in capital strategy. This on-site role is based in Omaha, with options for Albany, NY, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL.

The role requires leadership across capital, risk and finance teams, delivering timely metrics, governance, and model enhancements to optimize capital position and solvency. Strong communication and mentoring are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance or Science.
• Qualified actuary.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in leading capital functions including modelling and communicating results.
• Knowledge of US RBC and BCAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital, liquidity, and dividend strategy with CRO/CFO/CEO.
• Build real-time and forecasted capital views aligned with business plans.
• Design framework to maximize capital efficiency across the organization.
• Embed capital metrics into strategic management decisions.
• Own end-to-end delivery of the function’s objectives.
• Develop models to support portfolio optimization and underwriting strategy.
• Provide timely capital metrics to senior management, regulators and rating agencies.
