Job summary

Curaleaf is seeking a Lead Processing Lab Technician to join the Laboratory Department. You will supervise day-to-day lab tasks, support the Lab Manager, and ensure compliant processing of cannabis extracts.

The role requires experience with supercritical extraction, rotary evaporation, and precise record-keeping. You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate complex lab equipment in a full-time, on-site capacity in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with 1-2 years of laboratory/manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with Supercritical Extraction highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for production by reviewing schedule, clarifying specs, calculating requirements, and weighing plant materials.
• Operate extraction equipment and processing concentrates and extracts.
• Clean and maintain extraction equipment and facility per cGMP and SOPs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Operate and repair lab equipment including vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps.
• Harvest terpene and cannabinoid extracts using extraction equipment.
• Purify crude oil using ethanol, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation.
