Qualifications

• Minimum seven years' experience with KNPV or IPO working dogs in the past ten years.
• Five years' management experience in MPC/Handler development programs in the past seven years.
• Seven years' hands-on training experience with both handlers and canines in tactical obedience, explosives detection, bite work, tracking, and related skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations for MPC and canine puppy physical conditioning program.
• Provide recommendations for students and MPC Handler initial and sustainment training and evaluation.
• Provide testing and evaluation services for current or emerging puppy, MPC, student, and MPC Team training, equipment, and utilization.
• Attend meetings, conferences, and training events, and provide SME-level recommendations to MPC program personnel.
• Provide canine adult and puppy selection recommendations for Government supplied canines.
• Provide bi-monthly work and training schedules to the Government.
• Coordinate requests for resources (training locations, equipment, personnel) to the government.
• Conduct standardized training for all canines.
• Initial training to prepare MPCs to join an MPC Team and be utilized during a Handler Course.
• Sustained training for MPCs.
• Initial training to prepare canine puppies for MPC selection.
• Perform independently or supervise the MPC Handler execution of the training and conditioning program, including rehabilitation.
• Provide evaluation, appropriate initial stabilization, and transportation for MPC and puppy illness and injury.
• Provide initial training and sustainment training to all MPC Handler and MPC Teams to perform all NSW MPC Team capabilities.
