Position Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated Senior Level Calibration Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

1. Perform calibrations on various types of equipment, including high-level and unique test and measurement instrumentation.
2. Troubleshoot and adjust test equipment.
3. Interface with customer service representatives and customers to determine needs related to traceability and standards, as well as repair or calibration requirements.
4. Ensure timely preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
5. Manage workload distribution among technicians when the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager is unavailable.
6. Provide guidance and leadership to technicians in the absence of the Lab Supervisor/Manager.
7. Perform daily inspections of incoming equipment to verify accessories, manuals, and identify malfunctions, updating equipment status as needed.

Requirements

• Military calibration training (PMEL or TMDE), an associate's degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience calibrating test and measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory.
• Experience calibrating multiple disciplines, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Dimensional.
• Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
