We have a great opportunity for an experienced, motivated Senior Level Calibration Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC!

In this role you will:

  • Perform calibrations on varying types of equipment, including high level and unique test and measurement instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot & adjust test equipment
  • Interface with customers service representatives, and with customers alike, to determine needs relating to traceability adequacy of standards and test procedures utilized by Trescal Inc. as well as for items requiring repair or limited calibration
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance of the laboratory's equipment is performed in a timely and acceptable manner
  • Managing work load distribution for technicians within his/her sphere of influence when the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager is not available
  • Provide direction and leadership to the technicians within his/her sphere of influence when the Lab Supervisor/Manager is not available
  • Performing daily inspections of the incoming equipment to verify: accessories and manuals are available, malfunctions of customer instrumentation, and to change equipment status when appropriate

Requirements

  • Military calibration training (PMEL OR TMDE) OR associates degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience calibrating test & measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory
  • Experience in calibrating multiple disciplines of Test & Measurement Equipment; i.e.: Electrical, Mechanical, Dimensional
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload
