Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineering CAD Administrator to join the Configuration Management team in support of advanced engineering for mission-critical hardware. The role focuses on administering the CAD system (Teamcenter) and ensuring modeling standards, data integrity, and ASME/ GD&T compliance across design and manufacturing.

You will mentor engineering staff and collaborate with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant work experience, or Master’s with 3 years
• 3 years of Product Data/Document Management (PDM) experience in an Engineering environment using Teamcenter or equivalent
• 4 years of hands-on CREO modeling experience
• Strong Teamcenter administrator and user proficiency
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand ASME/ANSI GD&T standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• U.S. citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Manage the Teamcenter CAD System database and ensure data accuracy as CAD Administrator
• Serve as SME for CREO and Teamcenter, providing coaching and mentoring
• Check 3D model design for compliance against drawings or specifications and verify fit
• Automate processes and standardize workflows, templates and methods
• Provide CAD software administration and end-user support while enforcing standards
• Develop and implement CREO modeling standards for parts, templates and configs
• Implement and maintain CREO Check-Mate to meet business needs
• Validate released CAD models against drawings and ASME standards before release to Manufacturing
