Job summary

Cannon Companies in Milton, WA is seeking an Intermediate Drafter to join our engineer/drafter team. The role leads the CAD drafting effort and serves as the primary contact for customers, working closely with Project Managers to develop plans from concept through construction drawings.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Engineering (or 4+ years of related work), 3+ years CAD experience in civil/structural/architectural design, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or 4+ years of related work experience
• Minimum 3+ years CAD experience in Civil/Structural/Architectural design
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to learn and adapt to changes
• Positive attitude and highly motivated
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Must have leadership/supervisor/management experience
• Have a valid driver's license
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal check

Responsibilities

• Assist design/engineering team in project support from initial concept through final construction drawings
• Create and prepare survey documents
• Create design and Traffic Control Plans for permit submittals
• As-Builting work of finished product
• Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment
