Job summary

Metromont LLC in Greenville, SC is seeking a Senior Project Drafter to design and prepare CAD erection drawings and related documents for complex projects. You will lead project drafters and coordinate with engineers, architects, and PMs to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

The role requires an associate degree in design/architecture or related field, plus at least two years drafting experience, with knowledge of CAD and preference for Revit. Office-based with traditional 8am–5pm hours.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Design, Architecture, or related field with coursework in CAD.
• Knowledge of Revit preferred.
• Minimum two years drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to project drafters.
• Design and prepare electronic CAD erection drawings, shop tickets, and material requisitions from contract drawings and engineering calculations.
• Interface with departmental personnel to obtain equipment and materials requirements.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and material requirements from sketches, specifications, contract drawings and RFI responses.
• Consult with engineers and project managers as needed to resolve questions.
• Revise CAD designs and documents to comply with changes to project scope.
• Provide technical guidance to the Project Drafter regarding coordination of details between shop tickets and erection drawings.
• Coordinate drafting work with engineers and architects.
• Serve as a lead in providing direction to drafters.
