Job summary

Metromont Greenville Office in Greenville, SC is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer. You will work under close supervision to learn and assist with all engineering design aspects of a project, and may eventually manage your own design projects and check others' work.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred), and EIT is preferred though PE is not required. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with safety PPE and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering required; structural emphasis preferred.
• EIT certification preferred; PE not required.

Responsibilities

• Design parking decks, buildings, and walls and their connections.
• With assistance, design laterals.
• Independently manage design aspects of projects with supervision.
• Review contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Attend project meetings and may lead coordination meetings.
• Assist with responses to RFIs.
• Review erection drawings and shop tickets for adherence to standards.
• Adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules.
