Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Arden, NC seeks a Master Designer - Sustaining Engineering to lead design maintenance, BOM updates, and drawings to meet internal client needs. The role uses CAD technology to craft 2D/3D designs and requires strong mechanical/electrical understanding.

You will apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve assembly processes, support ECO/CMO workflows, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to drive stable, efficient design outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution with minimum 2 years of engineering experience OR Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, H-1B visas, etc. are not offered.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities to maintain and improve product design standards (BOM/drawing revisions, new configurations).
• Maintain ETB Issue Category by closing ETBs and supporting ECO/CMO processing.
• Provide timely resolution to line issues with accurate drawings/data for manufacturing or suppliers.
• Revise BOMs and layouts using AutoCAD Inventor; ensure accuracy and calculations.
