Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Land Development team in Houston, TX. You will design and produce plan sets for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects using AutoCAD, while implementing and maintaining drafting standards.

With 3+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley software, you will develop technical drawings, perform quality checks, and coordinate activities to keep schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred).
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce sets of plans for Land Development projects; implement drafting standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings of substantial complexity; perform some calculations.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• May supervise and train CAD staff; maintain drawing database.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.
