Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a hands-on Thermal Firmware Integration Engineer to own the sensing and actuation layer of our climate system. You will lead integration of cabin temperature, humidity, solar and rain/light sensing, plus motorized air vents and diagnostics.

Work-cross functionally with controls, modeling and test engineers; own end-to-end firmware integration, verification, and field diagnostics. This hybrid role reports to the Firmware Engineering team in Palo Alto, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in embedded systems or firmware integration.
• Strong C/C++ on embedded targets.
• Experience with automotive CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware integration of cabin sensors and actuators end-to-end.
• Lead diagnostics, fault handling and self-test development.
• Design pre-merge verification plans and review embedded code.
• Lead root-cause analysis using logs, CAN/LIN trace, and measurements.
• Collaborate with controls, modeling and test teams; influence interfaces.
