Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a hands-on Thermal Firmware Integration Engineer to own the sensing and actuation layer of the climate system. You will integrate cabin sensors, drive firmware for motorized vents, and build diagnostics to prove health of the system.

The role requires embedded C/C++, automotive protocol knowledge, and strong cross-functional collaboration with controls, modeling, and test teams. This hybrid onsite role in the US offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in embedded systems and firmware integration in automotive/high‑volume domains.
• Strong debugging across electrical, mechanical and software domains with CAN/LIN/Ethernet tools.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware integration of cabin temperature, humidity, solar and rain/light sensing.
• Lead integration of motorized air vents and align with HMI interfaces.
• Develop diagnostics and self-test capabilities for climate system.
• Perform pre-merge verification and root-cause analysis using logs and CAN/LIN traces.
• Collaborate with controls, modeling and test teams across the project.
