Job summary

Schonfeld is seeking an exceptionally talented, hands-on C++ engineer for its Global Trading and Execution GTX group in New York City. You will design, develop, and deliver core components for Stat-Arb and low-latency platforms.

You will work closely with the Systematic COO and Business Analysts, provide technical leadership, and mentor small teams while ensuring reliable, scalable performance across global operations.

Qualifications

• Ten years of C++ development in a Linux environment.
• C++ design for microsecond latency with cache-conscious data structures and lock-free concurrency.
• Sys-level latency engineering including kernel bypass and NUMA-aware placement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience building electronic trading systems, market data systems, or crossing engines.
• Experience delivering in co-located execution environments.
• Experience leading small highly technical development teams.
• Strong architecture and design skills.
• Proficiency with DevOps, CI/CD, and build automation.
• Experience with Agile frameworks and Site Reliability Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver components within Stat-Arb, Low-Latency, and High-Touch platforms.
• Collaborate with Systematic COO and Business Analysts on architecture and implementation.
• Provide technical thought leadership within the team and across the front office.
• Provide Level 3 support across global operations.
