Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a lead Business Analyst to drive end-to-end operational and business analysis for large-scale federal loan servicing programs in the United States. You will collaborate with stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to gather and prioritize requirements and to advance initiatives from discovery through implementation.

You will mentor junior analysts, support proposals, and guide operational models while ensuring compliance with government policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with lead-level responsibilities.
• An active MRPT or ability to obtain one (moderate risk public trust).
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operational and business analysis for large-scale federal loan servicing programs, ensuring alignment across ops, tech, policy, and compliance.
• Support key business initiatives from discovery through implementation.
• Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements with stakeholders and tech teams.
• Drive business process reengineering and continuous improvement across loan lifecycle functions to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps; develop evidence-based recommendations aligned with policies and systems of record.
• Facilitate cross-functional working sessions and executive briefings to drive alignment across teams.
• Support and lead proposal development, technical solutioning, and capture strategy including KPI plans and operational models.
• Mentor junior staff and provide operational leadership across delivery teams to ensure quality and accountability.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with demonstrated lead-level responsibilities.
• An active Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or ability to obtain one.
• U.S. Citizenship.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced challenging client focused environment where priorities and scope may change quickly.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience leading business analysis on enterprise or large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other project delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency with common business analysis tools and collaboration platforms.
• Experience with automation, workflow tools, or analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, AI-enabled process improvement, workflow orchestration tools).
• Prior management consulting experience.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other relevant certifications.
• MBA or MA/MS degree in a related field.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
