Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of diesel and automotive repair experience including diagnostics and electrical work.
• 1 year of lead responsibilities preferred.
• ASE Certification (School Bus, Diesel Engines, or equivalent) preferred.
• CDL with P and S endorsements; training offered if needed.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and diagnostic tools.
• Familiar with DOT and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and gasoline-powered school buses.
• Address mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records for all vehicles.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to develop team skills.
• Monitor team performance and adherence to schedules and policies.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA safety regulations and inspections.
• Conduct regular fleet and facilities inspections for hazards.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities and fleet performance.
