Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician II to perform highly skilled building maintenance and troubleshooting across county facilities. You will lead and guide lower-level staff, estimate costs for renovations, and ensure safety standards are met.

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience. The role is based in Albuquerque with a 9-month probationary hourly rate of $23.22 and a union rate of $23.69.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of work experience in general building maintenance or related field.
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receives assigned work orders and prioritizes them with other tasks.
• Performs building maintenance including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and related duties in compliance with safety standards.
• Responds to emergency calls and assesses hazards, materials, and personnel needs.
