Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to support Building Automation Systems for customers, including Fort Bragg, NC and nearby areas. You will respond to complex service calls, troubleshoot, install, configure, and tune BAS to specifications, while maintaining documentation and ensuring up-time.

• Install, configure, commission, and tune BAS to meet customer specifications and job requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and codes to support BAS design, installation and integration.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal BAS performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records for compliance and reporting.
• Travel to customer sites off post as needed, managing travel arrangements and reporting.

Job Description

As Lead Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers for our Building Automation Systems. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, and preventive maintenance. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the – HVAC, automation controls, as well as their associated computer systems. Your expertise is to ensure system up-time, sustainability, productivity and efficiency of our customers’ facilities.

You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you will provide support for our customers at Fort Bragg, NC and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Can independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues for Building Automation Systems.
• Install, configure, commission, and tune systems Building Automation Systems (BAS) to meet customer specifications and job requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and codes to support Building Automation system design, installation and integration.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of Building Automation Systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records for compliance and reporting.
• Travel to customer sites off post as needed, managing your own travel arrangements, site coordination, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience installing, programming, maintaining and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems and their associated communication protocols.
• An understanding of building codes, and industry standards.
• A valid driver’s license (REAL ID)
• The ability to meet the background check requirements for federal projects and be able to obtain a Security Clearance due to contractual requirements.

We Value

• A Technical Degree is a Plus.
• CompTIA Network+, Security+ and other associated network certifications.
• Knowledge of working with Windows based servers, SQL and Honeywell’s Enterprise Buildings Integrator software.
• Tridium, Niagara, N4, CARE, Comfort Point, or other commercial industrial systems experience and/or certifications.
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and/or EM385 certification.
