Job summary

FOX News Media in New York seeks a Principal Systems Design Engineer to lead broadcast infrastructure projects from concept to delivery. You will drive complex system integrations, coordinate internal teams and vendors, and maintain detailed engineering and project documentation.

The role requires PMP certification, strong routing/networking knowledge, IP-based solutions (SMPTE 2110), cloud workflows, and a proven ability to deliver on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing technical projects in broadcast, A/V, or media tech.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of routing, signal flow, networking, and storage in broadcast/IT.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expert proficiency with PM software (Smartsheet, AutoCAD, Jira).
• Experience with IP-based broadcast (SMPTE 2110, NDI) and cloud workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle for broadcast system installations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables; develop plans, schedules, and resource models.
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, track expenditures, mitigate risks, ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain project documentation: specs, change orders, reports, handover.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of modern broadcast tech (IP video, cloud, baseband).
