Job summary

Paramount Skydance in New York is seeking a Principal Engineer, Production Systems to design, install and support broadcast production systems including audio, video, control, and IT components for our state-of-the-art facility.

You will lead hands-on engineering efforts, supervise wiring technicians, maintain documentation, and ensure security policy compliance, enabling seamless live and non-live production operations.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of broadcast systems, including SMPTE 2110 formats.
• Familiar with production control systems for live and non-live shows.
• Basic networking, subnetting and VLAN concepts.
• Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
• Experience documenting configuration and process information.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Broadcast engineering or 7+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and support in-house video, audio and control systems.
• Support maintenance for problem-solving and repair of systems.
• Maintain network and system documentation.
• Conform to CBS security policies and reporting.
• Supervise wiring technicians on projects.
