Job summary

NFL Media Audio 1 (A1) lead position seeks an experienced broadcast audio professional to plan, mix, and deliver top-quality audio for live and recorded NFL Media productions at our state‑of‑the‑art Inglewood facility.

The role demands strong live sports mixing, SSL console expertise, IP‑based workflows (Dante, AES67, SMPTE 2110), and the ability to mentor junior staff on high‑profile events; onsite presence is required.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional broadcast audio experience, including significant experience mixing live sports and studio productions.
Dante Certification or equivalent IP audio networking credentials.
CTS, Dante, or other relevant industry certifications.

Responsibilities

Lead audio mixer for live and recorded productions, ensuring high audio quality and operational excellence.
Design, configure, and execute complex audio workflows for studio shows, remote broadcasts, and events.
Operate and mix live productions using broadcast consoles, playback systems, and IP-based infrastructure.
Collaborate with producers, directors, engineering teams, and staff to deliver impactful audio experiences.
Develop and maintain show-specific audio configurations and routing strategies.
Lead audio planning for remote productions and venue integration.
Troubleshoot audio issues in real time to maintain on-air continuity.
Oversee setup and optimization of communications systems, including Riedel intercoms.
Ensure compliance with broadcast audio standards across formats.
Mentor A2 and A3 personnel and freelancers as needed.
Stay proficient in emerging broadcast technologies and IP networking.
Perform other duties as assigned.
