Job summary

LS Gallegos & Associates is seeking a Part-Time Inspection Team Leader with extensive bridge and tunnel inspection experience. The role combines field work leading a team to perform on-site inspections under NBIS standards, with office review of reports and load ratings.

The ideal candidate holds 7+ years in bridge inspection, a Civil Engineering degree, and PE licensure or eligibility for reciprocity; strong communication and project coordination skills are essential. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years bridge inspection experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Currently licensed as a PE or eligible for reciprocity within six months, or NBIS Team Leader qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and oversee bridge inspections per NBIS and safety protocols.
• Supervise and mentor field inspection team members.
• Obtain access permits as needed.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Update asset information and generate inspection reports using web-based software.
• Interact with stakeholders and coordinate with consultants/clients.
