Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Senior Bridge Design Engineer to lead transformative bridge design projects across Georgia. You will combine technical excellence with client relationship management to deliver high-quality projects and mentor the next generation of engineers.

In this role you will manage project delivery, lead GDOT design efforts, develop innovative solutions, support business development, and collaborate with other offices to advance the regional practice while maintaining

Qualifications

ABET-accredited civil or structural engineering degree required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
10+ years bridge design experience.
Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Bentley OpenBridge Designer, MDX, and AASHTOWare BrR.
Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor.

Responsibilities

Manage the delivery of bridge design projects with high-quality, client-focused outcomes.
Lead bridge design and production efforts for GDOT across all development phases.
Develop innovative solutions to complex bridge challenges for active projects.
Serve as Client Service Manager for state DOTs and municipal agencies.
Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
Collaborate with other Burgess & Niple offices on pursuits and projects.
Manage transportation projects of varying complexity.
Support business development to grow the regional practice.
