Job summary

Limelight Hotels is seeking a Lead Breakfast Attendant to oversee the breakfast team, ensure smooth service, and coordinate with the kitchen for timely replenishment. You will guide daily operations, address guest questions, and support the supervisor on duty with scheduling and performance feedback.

The role emphasizes leadership, high-quality guest service, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise leadership over the breakfast service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor & arrange the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of the breakfast buffet or dining area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely replenishment of Food & Beverage items.
  • Ensure that equipment and supplies are in working order and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist the supervisor on duty with scheduling, inventory management, and team performance feedback.
  • Lead by example, motivating the team to provide consistent, high-quality service.
  • Promote a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Lead Breakfast Attendant takes on additional responsibilities, such as overseeing the team to ensure smooth operations, addressing guest concerns promptly, coordinating with the kitchen for timely food replenishment, and supporting the Supervisor on duty by delegating tasks and monitoring team performance. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Essential Job Functions/Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or high school equivalent required
  • One year of Food & Beverage experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
  • Familiarity with various breakfast items, including dietary restrictions and common allergens
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with guest
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure the timely replenishment and presentation of breakfast items
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide a welcoming and positive dining experience
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
  • Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
  • Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
  • Ability to arrange furniture, food service equipment, and supplies required for service while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
