Job summary

Mobis CAE team in the United States is seeking a CAE engineer to lead and coordinate virtual analysis and simulation for vehicle braking systems, working with local customers.

You will develop performance, durability, and NVH simulations using Abaqus, Nastran, ANSYS, or coordinate analyses with internal partners; interpret results and prepare technical reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of CAE / 4+ years of relevant experience.
• BS/MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Physics preferred).
• Experience with Abaqus, Hyperworks, Ansys Motion, Python, and similar software.
• Experience with both structural and NVH analysis.
• Experience correlating virtual results to physical test outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate virtual analysis and simulation for vehicle braking systems with the Mobis CAE team for local customers.
• Create performance, durability, and NVH simulations for brake components and assemblies using Abaqus, Nastran, ANSYS, or coordinate analyses with internal partner teams.
• Interpret analysis data to evaluate performance, durability, and NVH characteristics and provide project recommendations.
• Collaborate with customer Product Development Teams, application and design engineers, NVH development engineers, and physical testing groups.
• Validate virtual models and predict braking-system performance, durability, and NVH characteristics.
• Lead and coordinate localization efforts to improve local CAE analysis software capability.
• Plan and execute analysis technique improvements and expand CAE analysis application in project engineering.
• Write engineering reports and presentations.
• Track simulation progress against project milestones.

Requirements

• BS/MS in an Engineering discipline; Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Physics preferred
• Experience and familiarity with Abaqus, Hyperworks, Ansys Motion, Python, and similar software
• Experience with both structural and NVH analysis
• History of working in automotive chassis systems such as brakes, steering, or suspension
• Experience working with North American OEMs
• Experience correlating virtual results to physical test outputs
• Familiarity with braking system functionality
• Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies
