Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet criminal records check requirements as specified by Kentucky State Law.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting rules, regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assistant coaches on one or more sports.
• Organize and supervise practices.
• Teach good sportsmanship and self-control.
• Ensure eligibility of participants.
• Assist in promoting sports in the school and community.

Skills

Fundamentals of various sports

Health and Safety regulations

Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy

Education

High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate

64 semester hours of college credit or approved KHSAA training

Successful completion of first aid and CPR certification
